This two-course combo is part of seven facilities that make up the Robert Trent Jones Trail through Alabama. It has three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. The Sherling/Canyon combination has won a number of accolades and provides a mixture of challenge with a splash of beauty. The terrain on the Sherling Course is rolling while the Canyon Course is hilly with many challenging elevation changes. The Sherling Course features the scenic Sherling Lake on several holes, and both courses are tree-lined with numerous large sand bunkers in traditional Robert Trent Jones style.
The Judge plays quietly alongside the Alabama River. The first tee lies 200 feet above the fairway overlooking the river and the Montgomery skyline. With 14 holes bordering the water and an impressive partitioned island green, the Judge provides a memorable experience for golfers of every skill level.
